The most highly anticipated Ridley-Scott-comeback sci-fi summer blockbuster movie of the 21st century, Prometheus feels like The X-Files meets Alien meets The Tree of Life meets Ebola meets The Abyss.

The dark elements of the story of Snow White, cloaked in fairy tale magic and fantasy, are perfect ingredients for a delicious epic story, with a high potential to be a cinematic dream. 

Snow White and the Huntsman offers the sinister and action-adventure side of our beloved childhood fairy tale to rouse horror and suspense reminiscent of 1997's TV movie Snow White: A Tale of Terror  (Sigourney Weaver), while keeping intact its sense of fairy tale magic. Medieval castles, enchanted forests and creatures, evil queens, beautiful princesses and handsome princes, it promises a fairy tale movie come true.

What to Expect When You're Expecting feels like a brief overview of various birth methods and pregnancy tales (because it's based on some pregnancy book) that culminates, of course, to seeing the babies in their arms.

In the first place, I don't know why they needed to make a film out of this stuff; which feels nothing but a very light, cliched summary of what to expect when you're expecting, only it's pretty, colorful and, uhm, cinematic. Michael Fassbender’s eyes are intense. Give him a non-speaking role and he could still affect you in many ways. They happily run a kennel and are occasionally harassed by the town sheriff, Beth's bully ex-husband Keith (Jay Ferguson). The  next thing Logan knows, he's a hired help in the kennel. The plot that film snobs (and those who have never given Titanic a chance) scoff at: Poor boy meets rich girl. On-board a luxurious and gigantic ship on its maiden voyage destined to sink. Celine Dion singing the theme song. Pretty sunsets. Heartthrob of the '90s Leonardo DiCaprio yelling, "I'm the king of the world! Wohooo!" A love story so cliche it hurts. 

But why did 95 percent of the world fall in love with Titanic when it premiered in 1997? And people never asking "Have you seenTitanic?" but "How many times have you seen Titanic?"  And why is it that, today, it is still one of our most favorite movies of all time?... (READ FULL REVIEW)
